Written & illustrated with great humour
David and the Hairy Beast has been written and illustrated with great humour and would be great to read aloud as well as being enjoyed by those reading alone. The book introduces David as a boy of nearly seven, and young children will identify with his feelings of frustration at being too small to be allowed to do grown-up things.

Fun and inspiring
My little one loves this book. It is a constant request at bedtime and she falls about laughing at the sheep! It has also opened doors to talk about the 'hairy beasts' in her life and how she deals with them. This is a book we will be returning to again and again.
Gorgeous book!
I absolutely love the gorgeous illustrations in this book, they had me captivated and giggling as I followed the sheep's shenannigans in the background . The story is a simple tale that children will enjoy of a boy David feeling undervalued but going on to triumph over a hairy beast with the help of God. As adults it speaks to us of a God that values us personally and who can help us overcome all those metaphoric 'hairy beasts' that life throws at us. It reminds us that God made each one of us for a purpose and He'll be alongside us as we take on the situations that life throws at us. My 5 and 8 year old nephews loved it!
